MOSAIC INNOVA, a Horizon Europe project dedicated to fostering collaboration among regional innovation ecosystems, officially started its journey with an online Kick-Off Meeting.
The event gathered all project partners together with the European Commission’s Project Officer, Christine Kriza, marking the beginning of a one-year collaboration focused on deep-tech, critical technologies, and sustainable industrial transformation across Europe.
Coordinated by Fundación ICAMCyL (Spain), MOSAIC INNOVA aims to:
✔️ Reduce fragmentation between regional and national innovation ecosystems.
✔️ Enhance cooperation between regions with different innovation performance levels.
✔️ Promote knowledge exchange and best practices in deep-tech and circular innovation.
✔️ Engage key stakeholders such as companies, clusters, research centres, and public administrations.
The project brings together a diverse European consortium:
- Fundación ICAMCyL (Spain, Coordinator)
- Cleantech Bulgaria (Bulgaria)
- Iberian Sustainable Mining Cluster – ISMC (Spain)
- Geokompetenzzentrum Freiberg e.V. – GKZ (Germany)
Over the next 12 months, the partners will map innovation capacities, facilitate collaboration, and identify future opportunities for cross-regional cooperation.
Through these actions, MOSAIC INNOVA contributes to the objectives of the European Innovation Agenda, supporting the EU’s twin green and digital transitions.
Together, the partners aim to build a stronger, interconnected, and more resilient European innovation landscape.
